About Us
Julie has loved horses all of her life. What her dad thought would be a "phase" turned out to become a lifelong dream and passion. Posters covered her walls and even ceiling to aid in her vision. When she was a child, she would jump at any little chance she could get to just be around horses; taking various trail rides at livery stables around the country and touching ponies at petting zoo's did little to curb her appetite for these amazing creatures.

She would spend long nights looking through photography books by such artists as Robert Vavra and dream of the day she would own her own. The fact that Julie's heart and soul had to desire such an expensive endeavor did not help the situation. Because let's face it, horses are expensive!
When she turned 13 she was old enough to start volunteer work at a local equestrian center called Danada Equestrian Center. Cleaning stalls, mucking paddocks and grooming were among the tasks at hand. Each 8 hours of volunteer time would get her 1 hour of lesson. Dad gave her 2 weeks to figure out cleaning stalls wasn't as much fun as she thought. Well, 3 years later, she was still there. She now had her driver's licence and decided to obtain a stable job with a paycheck. She continued on to work as a trail guide at a livery stable, a polo groom and even a stable hand who managed the feed and care of 20 head. All of this was extremely rewarding but unfortunately, did not pay the bills. As a senior in high school she started looking to her future and what she truly wanted to do with her life. It was to own friesians and run a breeding facility. An expensive dream and . . . out of her reach.
Instead, she obtained a steady office job with her extensive computer skills picked up from her dad and classes and made good money. She finally got her dream when she purchased her very first horse. A miniature she named Crackers. She got him for $175 in the late 1980's and he was her life.

For several years her and Crackers would spend many hours together. He learned all kinds of tricks and they even started a small business of pony parties. Unfortunately, Julie did not have a horse trailer yet or the money to get one so they walked to each party. Crackers always performed perfectly and was adored by many children.
Julie was then faced with financial shortfalls and was forced to sell her horses. She was working so many hours to pay for them it wasn't fair to them to keep them cooped up all the time. Crackers was donated to a handicap children's society where he still is today.
Since that time, Julie has come a long way. She has been married 12 years, has owned many horses and learned from countless lessons. Now - the dream is finally materializing. She purchased her very first friesian in November of 2005 - Nikko of Noble! In August of 2006, she and her husband made the big plunge and purchased 5 acres of land with a house and barn.
She is defying the odds - you can too! We can make it happen.
